In 2020-2022 LeWiBo developed a special educational programme - webinars on ecology, climate change and global warming for high school students. Dr. Stanley Uchenna Okoro is a Climate Strategy & Renewable Energy expert. He has a Ph.D. in Earth System Science from the University of Hamburg Germany. His research and consultancy work are centred on Science Based Targets Development, Energy Efficiency, Carbon Accounting, Renewable Energy System. He is committed to providing information that helps students, direct management, policy, and decision-making towards sustainability, aiming to make an impactful contribution to society and the planet.

Daan Boot is a PhD student at the Institute of Marine and Atmospheric research Utrecht (IMAU) affiliated to Utrecht University. She does research in the marine carbon cycle and the Earth's climate and feedbacks between the two. She has a degree in Hydraulic Engineering and in Climate Physics. She volunteers at a local Scouting group, first as a youth leader and now as a board member.

WHY DO WE DO IT?
We aim to help students to raise their awareness and understanding of the global ecology, main threats and perspectives of the current situations and to inspire them to create their own projects in order to live conscious life and to save the planet.
We develop a series of webinars in English, Russian, French that will be offered for free to schools and universities as well as to educational associations that work with high school students. The webinars will be recorded and placed on website and social media to make them accessible for more students and schools as open online lectures. We will add new material building on the existing capacity found at the general library collection. This library contains video lectures and online materials curated by the Lecturers without borders association. Our network of collaborators around the globe includes more than 8000 schools in more than 20 countries.
Students will be invited by their institutions and participation will be entirely optional. We will coordinate all activities, adapting the content to the specific requests of each institution and to the prior knowledge of the students.
The webinars will be interactive and the students will have the opportunity to send us questions beforehand in order to actively participate in determining the content of each session.
The project is in line with the main activities of the organization as we do focus on organizing free outreach scientific lectures for the high schools. Historically Lecturers without Borders have deep roots in both Russia and France working especially close with scientists from the two countries. Therefore, the database of the project includes a decent amount of high schools in both countries where it could be possible to arrange lectures in English, Russian or French.
We target to organize and record at least 10 high-quality webinars with leading researchers around the globe from France and Russia.
