As countries across the globe slowly start to learn to live with the Covid-19 pandemic, scientists in our network, such as Dr Diana Süsser have started travelling again, and we are once again able to go 'back to school' and provide 'in-person' lectures.
Dr Süsser recently spent time in Romania, where she delivered four offline lectures in three schools, over three days, in two languages. The general focus of the lectures was around climate change, as well as renewable energy and ways to protect our environment.
The participating schools were: Liceul Tehnologic de Mecatronică și Automatizări Iași; Petru Poni Technological High School; and Colegiul National Vasile.
Diana's presentation was excellent, adapted to the age and interest level of the students. And from the discussions with the teachers, I understood that they were even more excited than the students.
Dr Süsser received a very warm welcome from the schools, and the lectures were well-received by all.
