His research and consultancy work are centred on Science Based Targets Development, Energy Efficiency, Carbon Accounting, Renewable Energy System. He is committed to providing information that helps students, direct management, policy, and decision-making towards sustainability, aiming to make an impactful contribution to society and the planet.
"The role of the ocean in the Earth's climate"

Daan Boot is a PhD student at the Institute of Marine and Atmospheric research Utrecht (IMAU) affiliated to Utrecht University. She does research in the marine carbon cycle and the Earth's climate and feedbacks between the two. She has a degree in Hydraulic Engineering and in Climate Physics. She volunteers at a local Scouting group, first as a youth leader and now as a board member.
